Interdisciplinary Studies

The Interdisciplinary Studies major is designed for students with an interest in multiple areas who seek flexibility as well as focus in their education. It allows students to choose disciplines and courses that meet their educational and career goals.

This major introduces students to multiple perspectives on human behavior, thought, and values as well as honing skills in communication, writing, problem-solving, and critical thinking. It allows students to take courses in the humanities and social sciences which provide a breadth of knowledge as well as specific courses devoted to more technical industries.

Students choose any 2 concentrations with 15 units in each area.

*Students who are not majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies but wish to declare a concentration in one of the areas may do so. For these students, a concentration need only consist of 12 units.

Diversity Studies
Latin American Latinx Studies (LALS)
Literature
Philosophy
Religious Studies
Writing for Professionals
